hair-mask

Coconut oil can be use as a hair mask to help restore softness and shine back to the hair. The oil will melt when in 76°F. After shampooing you can rub it all over the hair and let sit for 5 minutes before rinsing. Or you can leave in on overnight like I do. Its been also said to help grow your hair longer!

Coconut oil can also be used as a natural lip balm that will help soothe and cure chapped lips. You can also create your own natural lip scrub to really get those lips nice and soft by combining brown sugar and some coconut oil and scrubbing your lips gently for a few minutes. This will help remove any dead skin left on your lips and leave them baby soft.

You can use coconut oil to replace you shaving cream! The oil will not only protect your skin but it will also moisturize it at the same time and help prevent those nasty ingrown hairs. For added benefit, mix brown sugar and coconut oil to a paste and scrub your legs before shaving, this will help remove any dead skin and help prep your skin for shaving.

You can buy it in a spray form thats easier for cooking, or you can just use it straight from the jar that buy. I use it for practically anything that requires me to grease a pan and it doesn’t alter the taste of my food at all.

Coconut oil can be use as a moisturizer or night cream. I prefer to use it as a night cream because my skin already has an oily consistency, however for dry skin it’s ideal! For me its a great night cream because it has anti aging properties that help combat any wrinkles, or any discolorations. After some time I have noticed my skin become a bit brighter. Its also been said, to brighten under eyes and help prevent breakouts.

I use coconut oil as a natural makeup remover. I buy the cotton pads seen in the picture to help wipe the makeup away. The oil is sensitive on my skin yet it removes the toughest makeup on my skin leaving it smooth and makeup free.
